Taqa Arabia, Voltalia eye Zaafarana power plant

Taqa Arabia and French energy company Voltalia have signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the Ministry of Electricity to explore the development of a 3.2-gigawatt renewable energy project in Egypt, the Egyptian Exchange announced today.
The project, to be jointly owned
by the two companies, will consist of a 1.1-gigawatt wind farm and a
2.1-gigawatt solar power plant at the Zafarana wind farm. The companies aim to
complete a technical and environmental feasibility study by December 2025.
