Housing Minister Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny on Saturday ordered an acceleration of work at the Marina 8 luxury resort project, part of a broader government push to revitalize the country’s Mediterranean coastline.

During a meeting with officials from the New Urban Communities Authority (NUCA), El-Sherbiny reviewed the construction timeline for several high-end tourist villages.

The Minister stressed the importance of completing Marina 8 according to the highest standards to ensure units are delivered to buyers on schedule. He issued directives to intensify labor forces at specific sites to bypass potential bottlenecks and finish landscaping work simultaneously with building construction.

According to a ministry statement, key infrastructure at the site is nearing completion. Progress updates were provided on utilities such as water, sewage, electricity, and telecommunications networks., and transport with the completion of primary and internal road networks.

The meeting also detailed progress on the "New Marina" expansion, including phase one of the New Marina lakes, the New Marina strait project and the renovation of the entrance to the existing Marina 5 resort.
