The meeting addressed several joint work files and explored
ways to enhance cooperation and coordination between the Ministry of Public
Business Sector and Gharbia Governorate. This aims to advance ongoing projects,
accelerate implementation rates, maximize the benefits of executed investments,
and achieve sustainable economic and social returns for the residents of the
governorate and the national economy.
The two sides reviewed a number of projects led by the
ministry in Gharbia through its affiliated companies, alongside the development
of Misr Spinning and Weaving Company. The discussion also covered hotel,
commercial, and administrative projects, as well as cooperation with the
Ministry of Higher Education to establish a comprehensive university city,
reflecting an integrated development vision aimed at maximizing the added value
of assets and promoting sustainable development in the governorate.
Shimi emphasized that the national project for developing
the spinning and weaving industry receives significant attention from the
political leadership due to its pivotal role in supporting national industry
and enhancing the competitiveness of Egyptian products in local and
international markets.
He noted that Misr Spinning and Weaving Company in
El-Mahalla El-Kubra represents a cornerstone of this project, highlighting that
the comprehensive development plan aims to modernize infrastructure, introduce
the latest production technologies, and develop the skills of the workforce,
ensuring operational sustainability and maximizing economic returns.
For his part, Major General El-Gendy expressed his pride in
Misr Spinning and Weaving Company, describing it as one of the most important
symbols of national industry. He confirmed that the unprecedented development
at the company reflects the full support provided by the state to Egyptian industry
under the leadership of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi.
The governor added that he feels particularly pleased
whenever he visits this historic industrial site, observing tangible progress
and real efforts on the ground. He praised the important role of the Minister
of Public Business Sector in continuously monitoring and supporting the
company’s revival plans and enhancing its competitiveness.
