Kouchouk cuts $80 mechanization fees with launch of mandatory ACI system

Minister of Finance Ahmed Kouchouk issued a decree reducing the fee for automating and verifying data in commercial documents submitted through the electronic platform and related electronic services by 80 dollars. He said the total cost has been reduced to 95 dollars per inbound air shipment. He added that the decision will apply for six months only, starting tomorrow, Thursday, January 1, 2026.

The decision coincides with the mandatory implementation of the Advanced Cargo Information system (ACI), starting tomorrow, Thursday, January 1, 2026. The move follows a presentation submitted by Ahmed Amawi, Head of the Egyptian Customs Authority.

Kouchouk affirmed the commitment to working with business community partners with a high degree of flexibility and simplification, while strengthening governance. He explained that the ACI system supports governance in the Egyptian market and ensures the entry of high quality goods that comply with specifications. He noted that the system helps deepen competition in favor of citizens and the national industry.
