The partnership aims to accelerate EgyptAir’s digital transformation, focusing on artificial intelligence (AI), cybersecurity, and operational efficiency to drive growth in Egypt’s aviation sector.
The signing ceremony was attended by EgyptAir Chairman and
CEO Ahmed Adel and Mirna Aref, Microsoft’s Regional General Manager for
Emerging Markets in the Middle East and Africa.
According to EgyptAir, the collaboration will focus on several key pillars: Operational Efficiency: Enhancing data-driven capabilities to improve service reliability and sustainability,
Passenger Experience: Upgrading digital platforms to provide
seamless and personalized booking and travel services,
Cybersecurity: Securing critical systems and protecting
customer data as a top priority, and
Artificial Intelligence: Expanding the use of AI to boost
productivity and support data-backed decision-making.
"We are focusing on the practical application of
advanced technologies, led by artificial intelligence, to raise operational
performance and strengthen cybersecurity standards," Adel said during the
ceremony.
Mohamed Qassem, General Manager of Microsoft Egypt, said the partnership seeks to combine Microsoft’s cloud and AI expertise with EgyptAir’s heritage "to build a resilient, data-driven institution that sets new standards for digital leadership in aviation."
