De Well, Swift collaborate on strategic warehousing in Egypt

The Unified Procurement Authority (UPA) received the Chairman of the global Chinese logistics firm De Well Group, accompanied by a delegation from Swift, De Well’s regional partner in Egypt and the Middle East, to explore cooperation in warehousing and logistics services.

The meeting aligns with the UPA's efforts to foster international partnerships and solidify Egypt's position as a regional logistics hub.

De Well, a major international logistics company operating in over 52 countries, presented its plans for expansion into the Egyptian and African markets. The company expressed interest in leveraging the UPA’s strategic warehouses as a key logistics platform to support its operations and regional expansion. Both parties discussed integrating the advanced capabilities of the strategic warehouses with De Well's expertise in supply chain management.

De Well Group is a leading global firm in ocean freight, air freight, and integrated logistics, with over 25 years of experience. Its services include comprehensive solutions for warehousing, supply chain management, international shipping, and e-commerce.

Swift, De Well’s regional partner, operates out of Egypt and other Middle Eastern countries, supporting De Well’s expansion through advanced solutions in storage, transport, and distribution.

The strategic warehouses, supervised by the UPA, are a cornerstone of Egypt's logistics supply system. They feature modern infrastructure, advanced operating systems, and massive storage capacity to ensure the sustainable availability of vital materials. These facilities serve as an ideal platform for international and regional companies looking to expand from Egypt into the African continent.

The UPA affirmed its readiness to explore joint cooperation opportunities to advance the national vision for supply chain development and reinforce Egypt’s standing as a major regional logistics center.
