Rahmy stated that MSMEDA's support, which includes marketing assistance, product development, export facilitation, and ensuring continuous participation in key regional and international exhibitions, is aimed at enhancing product quality and sustaining business growth.
The CEO added that these efforts align with directives from
Prime Minister Dr. Moustafa Madbouly, who also chairs MSMEDA's board, aimed at
promoting the handicraft sector and activating the recently launched National
Strategy for Heritage Projects.
MSMEDA prioritizes regular participation in the
"Banan" exhibition in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, viewing it as a
significant platform that allows Egyptian businesses to engage with a diverse
customer base, understand market needs, and exchange expertise with
international artisans.
Egypt, represented by MSMEDA, is participating in the
current edition alongside several Arab nations, showcasing unique and ancient
Egyptian heritage crafts. The participation aims to foster cultural exchange
with Saudi Arabia and highlight the artistic depth of Egyptian heritage crafts
to international visitors.
The third edition of the Banan exhibition, organized by Saudi Arabia’s Heritage Commission, runs from November 13 to 26, 2025. The major platform is aimed at supporting, empowering, and showcasing the traditional and contemporary skills of artisans and hosts over 40 participating countries, with China serving as the Guest of Honor.
