Egypt holds investment talks with Central Japan Federation

As part of his ongoing meetings with Japanese business organizations, Egypt’s Ambassador to Japan, Ragy El-Etreby, met with leaders of the Central Japan Economic Federation (CJEF) to discuss enhancing cooperation and promoting investment opportunities in Egypt.

The meeting addressed the CJEF's role in boosting Japanese companies' presence abroad, with the federation's leaders affirming their interest in exploring investment prospects across various economic sectors.

Ambassador El-Etreby reviewed the ongoing economic reforms in Egypt, which have opened new horizons for Japanese companies. He highlighted investment opportunities in renewable energy, infrastructure, and technological manufacturing, in addition to the proposed Japanese industrial zone within the Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZone).

He extended an invitation for a delegation from the CJEF to visit Egypt to assess the nature of investment opportunities in these sectors firsthand.

The CJEF leaders expressed their intention to organize a visit to Egypt next year to evaluate investment opportunities for Japanese companies. They expressed a desire to coordinate the visit in cooperation with the Egyptian Embassy.

It was also agreed that the Egyptian Ambassador would visit the CJEF's headquarters in Nagoya to meet with all member companies of the federation.
