The meeting addressed the CJEF's role in boosting Japanese companies' presence abroad, with the federation's leaders affirming their interest in exploring investment prospects across various economic sectors.
Ambassador El-Etreby reviewed the ongoing economic reforms
in Egypt, which have opened new horizons for Japanese companies. He highlighted
investment opportunities in renewable energy, infrastructure, and technological
manufacturing, in addition to the proposed Japanese industrial zone within the
Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZone).
He extended an invitation for a delegation from the CJEF to
visit Egypt to assess the nature of investment opportunities in these sectors
firsthand.
The CJEF leaders expressed their intention to organize a
visit to Egypt next year to evaluate investment opportunities for Japanese
companies. They expressed a desire to coordinate the visit in cooperation with
the Egyptian Embassy.
It was also agreed that the Egyptian Ambassador would visit the CJEF's headquarters in Nagoya to meet with all member companies of the federation.
