Agriculture Minister tours e-Finance pavilion at Cairo ICT

Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation, Alaa Farouk, visited the pavilion of e-Finance for Financial and Digital Investments during the 29th edition of the Cairo International ICT Exhibition and Conference (Cairo ICT).

Accompanied by Deputy Minister Moustafa El-Sayyad and e-Finance Chairman Ibrahim Sarhan, the Minister reviewed the company's efforts and innovative digital solutions supporting Egypt's agricultural sector.

The focus of the visit was on several digital platforms implemented by e-Finance, including the "Nabatk" application. The "Nabatk" interactive application is designed to provide farmers and agricultural engineers with accurate and reliable guidance content. It offers instant, verified answers to user queries regarding pests, crop diseases, irrigation, fertilization needs, and sound agricultural practices, aiming to increase productivity and improve crop quality.

Minister Farouk affirmed the exhibition's importance, stating it embodies the Egyptian state's vision, led by President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, toward building an integrated digital economy.

The Minister stressed the significance of the digital transformation in the agricultural sector, noting the substantial progress made. He described the shift as a comprehensive transformation impacting farmers, researchers, employees, and decision-makers, positioning technology at the core of agricultural development and key to maximizing resource utilization and achieving food security.

Farouk praised e-Finance's efforts, stating that the integration of digital solutions could create a real revolution in land and crop management, while delivering more efficient and accessible financing and agricultural extension services to the average farmer.

He concluded by calling for further constructive cooperation to deliver advanced digital solutions that meet farmers' needs and support Egypt's vision for sustainable agricultural development.
