Omar Hisham Talaat, Chief Business Development Officer at Talaat
Moustafa Group (TMG), expressed his delight with Madinaty Golf’s latest
accolades, noting that this major achievement reflects the Group’s continuous
efforts to develop world-class sports clubs within its integrated urban
communities. These clubs feature state-of-the-art facilities and infrastructure
built to international standards, positioning them among the finest globally.
Talaat emphasized that winning both the Best Golf Course in
Egypt and Best Golf Course in Africa awards reinforces Madinaty Golf Club’s
reputation as a premier global destination for golf enthusiasts. It also
strengthens Egypt’s position on the map of international sports tourism by
attracting global tournaments and top professional golfers.
The club recently hosted the Egyptian Open Golf Championship
2025, the largest event on the Egyptian Golf Federation’s calendar and one of
the oldest and most prestigious professional tournaments in the Middle East and
Africa. The championship took place from October 28 to November 1 and achieved
great success in terms of international participation, organization, and course
quality—earning praise from all competing players.
Meanwhile, Josh North, General Manager of Madinaty Golf Club,
stated that securing the Best Golf Course in Africa title for the third
consecutive year represents a significant milestone for the club, especially
given that the African continent is home to over a thousand golf courses.
North added that Madinaty Golf Club has also been nominated in
the “World’s Best Clubhouse” category — an unprecedented achievement for Egypt
and Africa in the world of golf. He highlighted that, building on its
remarkable success, Madinaty Golf has become a key destination for
international brand launches in Egypt and continues to play an active role in
community development in collaboration with civil society organizations.
Madinaty Golf Club — one of the flagship sports facilities of
Talaat Moustafa Group — was designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr., one of the
world’s most renowned golf course architects, and is managed by Troon, the
leading global golf management company.
The club features an 18-hole championship golf course spread
over 420,000 square meters, in addition to a 9-hole FootGolf course, one of the
few of its kind in Egypt combining football and golf.
