El-Etreby meets JOI president to boost Egypt–Japan investment ties

Egyptian Ambassador to Japan Ragui El-Etreby, accompanied by representatives from the Embassy’s Commercial Office, met with Kenichiro Hayashi, President of the Japan Institute for Overseas Investment (JOI), one of Japan’s leading institutions supporting the business community in the fields of investment and international trade. The meeting was also attended by senior JOI officials responsible for cooperation with Egypt, including Executive Director Tomoyuki Ishigo.

The discussions focused on strengthening existing cooperation between Egypt and JOI to further enhance economic relations between the two countries.

El-Etreby highlighted the positive economic developments taking place in Egypt, as well as the government’s efforts to boost private sector participation and attract additional Japanese investments.

Hayashi praised the ongoing cooperation with the Embassy and the Commercial Office, commending Egypt’s efforts to improve the investment climate. He also expressed JOI’s interest in exploring new avenues of collaboration with Egypt to promote investment across various economic sectors.

Both sides agreed to organize joint promotional activities in the coming period and to publish articles by the Egyptian Ambassador in JOI’s publications, showcasing Egypt’s economic performance and promising investment opportunities.
