Foreign reserves hit record $50.1 bln

Egypt's international reserves have surged to a record-breaking $50.1 billion, surpassing the $50 billion mark for the first time in the country's history, the Cabinet's Media Center announced Sunday.

The center attributed the milestone to continuous economic reforms and rising investor confidence in the Egyptian economy.

The achievement, which reflects the strength of macroeconomic indicators and improved foreign cash inflows, saw reserves rise by 5.9% since the start of 2025 from $47.3 billion in January.
