The ministry stated that the newly discovered well has been
added to the production schedule, producing 16 million cubic feet of gas and
750 barrels of condensates per day.
The discovery is expected to add 15 billion cubic feet of
gas to reserves. It was made in the Lower Bahariya formation, which is
currently being re-evaluated to identify the best sites for future drilling, supporting
increased production and maximizing gas reserves.
The ministry emphasized that this step is part of its
investment incentive measures aimed at gradually boosting production and
reducing imports.
