In a report, the center stated that under this initiative the client can visit the official bank website to review the specific guidelines document for the initiative. The client then proceeds to the nearest diplomatic mission or consulate abroad to begin the process of completing the required account opening documents.
The center added that in the following steps a staff member
at the embassy or consulate will review the identity document and the account
opening forms requiring signatures. They will then stamp the forms and collect
the authentication fees. The Consul or Ambassador will then authenticate the
documents and send them via the diplomatic pouch to the Ministry of Foreign
Affairs (MoFA) in Egypt.
The MoFA in Egypt will then certify the signatures of the
embassy or consulate representatives and send the original documents to the
bank.
The Cabinet Media Center further noted that the bank will
then complete the account opening process within three days of receiving the
original documents.
Once the account is opened, the client will receive an SMS notification containing their account number on the mobile phone number registered in the bank's system and provided in the account opening forms.
