He explained that the announcement comes after a series of
recent successes, with the federation organizing three consecutive
international championships that witnessed wide participation and unprecedented
global attention. He emphasized that these events have strengthened the
confidence of international federations in Egypt’s organizational and technical
capabilities, as well as its ability to host major sporting events to the
highest standards of quality and professionalism.
The federation president highlighted that through this
series, the federation aims to host as many championships as possible across
different Egyptian cities and courses, contributing to expanding the base of
golf practitioners, enhancing golf infrastructure, and creating new
opportunities for young Egyptians to participate in international competitions.
He added that the Red Sea Open, held at Sokhna Golf Club
with over 100 players from 35 countries worldwide, represents a comprehensive
model for combining sport and tourism. The championship will help promote Ain
Sokhna resorts as a premier destination for both golf and leisure tourism.
He emphasized that the Egyptian Golf Federation views this
success as part of a national objective to support sports tourism and develop
sports investment. He stressed that upcoming championships within the Egypt
Golf Series will further enhance Egypt’s regional and global presence in one of
the fastest-growing sports worldwide.
