The ministry said Monday that the first phase of the project's reactivation has begun with a capacity of 51,000 birds, bringing daily production to 12,000 eggs.
The plan includes a phased restart of additional facilities
to reach the project's full production capacity within six to seven months.
The ministry also stated that a contract addendum was signed
to build six new breeding and production pens, which will increase the
project's total annual capacity to 60 million eggs. The expansion includes a
dedicated egg carton factory and a bio-gas unit.
According to the ministry, the project will play a pivotal role in stabilizing the market and meeting the growing demand for eggs in Greater Cairo and the Nile Delta governorates.
