Majid Al Futtaim, a leading retail and commercial projects company, has opened its 100th store in Egypt across its three brands, including 70 Carrefour outlets, 25 Sobico stores, and five Myli shops.

The company announced that the new store, located in Suez Governorate, will create 150 direct and indirect job opportunities and offer more than 7,000 products to customers. It is the first Carrefour store in the governorate.

The group said the new store reflects its commitment to driving Egypt’s economic and social growth through a long-term strategy of balanced investment across various development sectors, including retail.

The outlet spans 900 square meters and offers over 7,000 products, including fresh and frozen foods, baked goods, household items, and electrical appliances.

Dr. Gunther Helm, CEO of Majid Al Futtaim Retail, said that over the past 25 years, the company’s investments in Egypt have exceeded $2.5 billion, contributing to the creation of more than 144,000 direct and indirect jobs.

He added that Majid Al Futtaim currently operates a retail network across 18 Egyptian governorates, offering more than 25,000 products to meet diverse customer needs nationwide. Around 99% of the products are locally sourced through partnerships with over 800 local suppliers, including farmers, small and medium-sized enterprises, and Egyptian factories.
