JICA noted this is the highest quarterly growth rate in three years, a significant jump from 2.2% during the same quarter last year.
According to the agency, the growth in the manufacturing
sector was tied to a notable improvement in export performance, reinforcing the
industrial sector's role as a key driver of the economy.
The announcement comes after intensive meetings in Yokohama between JICA officials and a high-level Egyptian delegation, including Prime Minister Dr. Moustafa Madbouly and Minister of Planning and Economic Development Dr. Rania Al-Mashat. The meetings took place on the sidelines of the Ninth Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD 9).
