Engineer Mohamed Salah El-Din Moustafa, Minister of State for Military Production, welcomed Engineer Karim Badawi, Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, at the Ministry of Military Production headquarters in the government district of the New Administrative Capital. They discussed ongoing cooperation on national development projects.

The two officials highlighted joint projects, including the production of prepaid gas meters to help conserve state resources and promote rational consumption.

Moustafa said the meeting underscored the government's commitment to directives from President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi to strengthen collaboration between state institutions and leverage domestic manufacturing capabilities.

He also praised the Petroleum Ministry's role in securing energy supplies through exploration, source diversification, and optimizing natural resources. Moustafa noted the military production ministry's broader policy of contributing to national projects by using the expertise and resources of its companies for civilian purposes.

A key point of discussion was the ongoing project to convert 2,262 public buses to run on natural gas instead of diesel. The multi-phase project, a joint effort with the Ministries of Local Development, Finance, and public transport authorities, has already completed its first phase. The second phase is expected to be finished by December 2025.

Badawi expressed his satisfaction with the collaboration, stating that it helps the petroleum ministry improve its performance and maximize the use of local resources, ultimately benefiting Egyptian citizens. He commended the military production ministry for its efficiency and its role as a key industrial pillar in the country, noting its ability to deliver projects on schedule.

The meeting concluded with an agreement to hold regular follow-ups on the status of joint projects and to address any potential challenges.
