El-Hefny: El Alamein airport boosts Northwest Coast development

Minister of Civil Aviation, Dr. Sameh El-Hefny, inspected El Alamein International Airport on Tuesday, accompanied by pilot Wael El-Nashar, chairman of the Egyptian Airports Company. The visit comes amid an increase in tourism and flight operations, coinciding with the start of the "New Alamein 2025" festival.

El-Hefny toured the airport's arrival and departure halls, check-in areas, ground services, and operation rooms, as well as banking, customs, and passport control sections. He instructed staff to enhance readiness and streamline procedures to ensure a high-quality travel experience for all passengers, reflecting Egypt's position as a global tourist destination.

The Minister emphasized the airport's crucial role in supporting the state's development plan for the northwestern coast. He highlighted its importance in serving the city of New Alamein and boosting tourism and air traffic, noting that the political leadership is keen on developing the airport to attract more local and foreign investments.

El-Hefny also pointed out that the "New Alamein 2025" festival, which features a variety of cultural and entertainment activities, contributes to increasing tourist numbers and establishing the city as a prominent destination in the Middle East. He praised the efforts of all airport staff and the continuous coordination between relevant authorities to ensure smooth operations and high efficiency.
