Badawi, Al Mazrouei discuss energy partnership expansion

Engineer Karim Badawi, Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, held a meeting with Suhail Mohammed Al Mazrouei, Minister of Energy and Infrastructure of the United Arab Emirates, in Abu Dhabi.

The meeting was held within the framework of the sixth axis of the strategy of the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, which focuses on enhancing regional and international cooperation to secure energy sources and to maximize the benefits of Egypt's infrastructure as a regional energy hub.

Badawi and Al Mazrouei discussed opportunities for cooperation across all fields of the energy sector, in line with the mutual commitment of both countries to strengthening their partnership and utilizing available capabilities to achieve regional integration.

Engineer Badawi and his UAE counterpart agreed to form a joint working group from both ministries to exchange expertise and benefit from the successful experiences of each side.

Badawi extended an official invitation to Minister Suhail Al Mazrouei to visit Egypt. The Minister was accompanied during the visit by Engineer Ihab Ragai, First Undersecretary for Production Affairs; Nasser Shoman, Undersecretary for Transport and Marketing; and Dr. Mohamed El-Bagoury, Head of the Central Administration for Legal Affairs at the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources.
