The meeting, which included key Keidanren leaders such as Executive Director Ichiro Hara, focused on enhancing ties with the federation, which comprises some 1,500 major Japanese companies across various economic sectors.
ElEtreby highlighted Egypt's economic growth and stability,
which he said create an attractive environment for Japanese investment. He also
detailed the incentives offered to investors in various fields and the
improvement in macroeconomic indicators.
For his part, Ohashi praised the positive developments in
Egypt's investment climate, the economic reforms, and the improved macro
indicators. He stressed Japanese companies' interest in boosting cooperation
with Egypt in the sectors of infrastructure, food security, health, and
environment.
The two sides agreed to establish a permanent dialogue between the embassy and Keidanren. The federation also pledged to support the embassy's ongoing cooperation with the Japanese Chamber of Commerce to hold several seminars in the near future to promote investment opportunities in Egypt's priority sectors.
