El-Gamal stressed that President El-Sisi confronted the world with his responsibilities, delivering a clear and unambiguous message that peace will only be achieved by recognizing the right of the Palestinian people to establish their independent state on the 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital, rejecting any solutions imposed by force or under pressure.
He added that the President's speech reaffirmed that Egypt has not and will not abandon its historic role in supporting the Palestinian cause and its categorical rejection of any attempt to displace Palestinians or impose a new reality by force. He noted that Egypt's position represents the cornerstone of defending Arab rights.
Al-Gamal stressed that President Sisi's speech at the summit came at a particularly sensitive time, restoring hope for Arab unity and affirming that Egypt will remain a true supporter of our Palestinian brothers, both leadership and people, until they achieve all their legitimate rights and a just and lasting peace is achieved in the region.
