Dollar price stabilizes in Egypt on Wednesday

The US dollar remained relatively stable against the Egyptian pound at the close of trading on Wednesday, October 22, 2025. The exchange rate moved within a narrow range not exceeding three piasters up or down. The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) recorded EGP 47.49 for buying and EGP 47.62 for selling.

The rise in Egypt’s foreign exchange reserves helped maintain market stability. Net international reserves increased to USD 49.533 billion by the end of September, up from USD 49.25 billion in August 2025, marking an increase of USD 283 million. The reserves have continued to climb since surpassing the USD 48 billion mark for the first time in April.
