Mansour Automotive launches assembly plant in October City

The Cabinet, chaired by Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouly, approved the signing of an agreement between the General Authority for Land and Dry Ports and Mansour Automotive Group. The agreement allows the group to lease a 30-acres plot of land allocated to the authority in 6th of October City in Giza Governorate for 50 years. The project is implemented in accordance with Presidential Decree No. 402 of 2025 and aims to establish a car assembly plant.

The decision reflects the government’s policy to support the localization of the automotive industry and promote high-value industrial investment. The government seeks to attract investors with advanced technical expertise in electric vehicles. The establishment of this factory will help transfer modern technology to Egypt. It will also enhance the country’s ability to produce electric vehicles locally and export them to regional markets. The project will increase the competitiveness of Egyptian automotive products and attract reputable global brands to the sector.

Mansour Automotive Group will build the factory within 12 months in cooperation with the implementing companies. The project is expected to attract initial investments of around €135 million.
