Ambassador Mohamed El-Shenawy, the presidential spokesperson, reported that the meeting featured an expanded session with both delegations, followed by bilateral talks and a luncheon hosted by the Emir.
Emir Mishal welcomed President El-Sisi, highlighting the
deep bilateral relations and the opportunity to strengthen cooperation,
particularly in economic and investment sectors. He acknowledged Egypt's
historical role in Gulf development and regional stability.
President El-Sisi expressed gratitude for the warm
reception, affirming Egypt's pride in its relations with Kuwait. He praised
Kuwait's progress under the Emir's leadership and Egypt's commitment to
enhancing cooperation, especially in trade and investment.
The leaders discussed regional developments, including the
Gaza situation, and developments in Syria and Sudan. They affirmed support for
these countries' unity and stability, as well as the legitimate Yemeni
government, and emphasized the importance of Red Sea security.
Earlier, at his residence, President El-Sisi met with Crown
Prince Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah, expressing his desire
to enhance cooperation with Kuwait, particularly in economic and investment
areas, and praised Kuwait's Vision 2035.
He also met with First Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of
Interior, and Acting Prime Minister Sheikh Fahd Youssef Saud Al-Sabah,
affirming Egypt's commitment to strengthening cooperation and acknowledging the
Egyptian community's contribution to Kuwait's development.
The meetings focused on enhancing bilateral relations and leveraging mutual advantages to strengthen partnership and serve the interests of both nations.
