Ambassador Mohamed El-Shenawy, Presidential Spokesman, announced that the convening of this "historic and first-of-its-kind" summit formalises the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership officially launched in Cairo in March 2024.
During the trip, Sisi is scheduled to hold a series of
meetings with senior European Union officials and several European leaders, as
well as with the King of Belgium.
The visit is aimed at strengthening political cooperation
and coordination with the European bloc and with Belgium on regional and
international issues of mutual concern, Al-Shenawy said.
The trip also includes a crucial economic component. An
expanded economic forum on investment opportunities in Egypt will be held on
the sidelines of the summit, with broad participation from major European
companies and business leaders.
Discussions are also expected to cover Egypt's vision for combating irregular migration and a number of other vital files of common interest.
