The Ministry of Public Business Sector highlighted the
importance of supporting cooperation between public and private sectors in
tourism and hotel investment.
Engineer Hisham Talaat Moustafa discussed the Four Seasons
Hotel Luxor project. The project is being implemented by ICON on Sultana Malak
land, owned by EGOTH, along the Nile. It represents a significant addition to
the luxury hotel portfolio in Upper Egypt.
The meeting also reviewed the current status of hotels under
Legacy Hotels and Tourism Projects Company. EGOTH, a subsidiary of the
Ministry’s Tourism and Hotels Holding Company, contributes to ICON, a
subsidiary of TMG.
Plans for new hotel expansions were presented. These
projects aim to enhance the capacity of Egypt’s luxury hospitality sector and
support national efforts to promote tourism as a contributor to the economy.
Shimi stressed the importance of partnerships between
leading national public and private entities. He also highlighted the need to
accelerate the implementation of joint projects. This approach aligns with
Egypt’s vision to maximize returns from tourism and hotel assets, enhance
competitiveness in regional and international tourism markets, and support
sustainable growth in Egypt’s tourism sector.
The meeting was attended by Saeed Arafa, Legal Advisor to
the Ministry; Amal Saleh, Advisor to the Minister; Amr Attia, Managing Director
of the Tourism and Hotels Holding Company; and Hisham El Demery, Managing
