Kouchouk, El Khatib launch advanced inspection units in export yards

Minister of Finance Ahmed Kouchouk and Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade Hassan El Khatib confirmed that the export system is currently being developed along the lines of logistics service centers in the import sector. The project aims to build an integrated export system in accordance with international best practices and standards. It will facilitate exporters, especially after the increase in export support allocations to EGP 45 billion in the current fiscal year. This move enhances the global competitiveness of Egyptian products.

They added in a joint statement that a new project is underway to improve the business environment for export procedures at ports. Advanced inspection and examination units have been implemented in export yards to raise the efficiency of logistics services. These units are environmentally friendly and scalable to accommodate growth in export activity.

Kouchouk and El Khatib emphasized that export procedures will be reengineered electronically. This will expedite documentation cycles, reduce costs, and increase reliance on artificial intelligence to facilitate export operations and streamline customs workflows.

Nafeza platform covers more than 130 customs sites. It links 35 government agencies electronically and contributes to facilitating trade flows.
