Egypt signs deal to boost medical tourism with Global Translation Services

The Egyptian General Authority for Healthcare (GAH) and 'Reviver Global for Medical Translation Services' signed a cooperation protocol on Thursday aimed at enhancing medical tourism and supporting the Authority's 'We Care for You in Egypt' program. Dr. Ahmed El-Sobky, Chairman of the GAH, witnessed the signing ceremony.

Dr. Amir El-Telwany, the Executive Director of the GAH, and Brian Montpetit, Executive Director of Business Development at Reviver Global, signed the protocol, with a number of officials from both sides in attendance.

Dr. El-Sobky described the protocol as a new strategic step for the GAH, designed to maximize partnership with Reviver Global in specialized, written, and simultaneous translation for healthcare facilities both inside and outside Egypt, in addition to cooperating in telemedicine.

He added that the partnership reflects the GAH's commitment to adopting innovative solutions that enhance digital transformation in the health sector, aligning with Egypt's vision for an integrated, quality- and sustainability-based digital health system.

El-Sobky further noted that Reviver Global, with its international expertise, is a strategic partner for the Authority in specialized translation. He stressed that the protocol will enhance Egypt's regional and international competitiveness and represents an advanced model of integration between national institutions and global entities, contributing to a more efficient and flexible health system with positive impacts regionally and internationally.

The GAH Chairman emphasized the protocol's pivotal dimension in supporting medical tourism. By leveraging specialized medical translation services, the protocol will enhance the ability of Egyptian health facilities to communicate effectively across different languages and cultures. This, in turn, will improve the international patient experience and facilitate access to world-class medical services within the GAH's facilities, ultimately bolstering Egypt's position as a promising and trusted medical tourism destination in the region.

Reviver Global representatives expressed their pride, calling the protocol an outstanding model for international integration in specialized translation, simultaneous interpretation, and telemedicine. They noted that this sustainable strategic partnership will strengthen cross-border cooperation and cement global standards of excellence for medical services catering to international patients. The collaboration is a major strategic addition for Reviver Global, opening vast horizons for joint work in digital health and specialized language services on a regional and global scale. The company affirmed its commitment to providing the latest technological and linguistic solutions to improve service efficiency and accessibility, ultimately reinforcing Egypt's position as a regional hub for health excellence.

Attendees at the signing included Dr. Reem El-Kady, Executive Director of Reviver Global for Translation Services, and from the GAH side, Dr. Moamen Ashmawy, Advisor to the Chairman for Strategic Projects, Dr. Mahmoud El-Deeb, Assistant Executive Director for Planning and Health Maps Affairs and General Director of the Technical Office to the Chairman, and Dr. Aya Sheaishaa, Translation Project Manager at the Authority.
