The ministry stated that this step comes as part of its
ongoing efforts to maximize the returns on public assets and transform unused
lands into opportunities for investment, growth, and development.
The ministry invited investors, real estate developers,
investment funds, and companies with expertise in urban and tourism development
to take advantage of these opportunities. It encouraged the submission of
innovative ideas that would help revitalize the Nile waterfront and the city
center through new tourism and entertainment projects that reshape the tourism
landscape in the governorate. The ministry also highlighted the importance of
introducing new service activities that meet the needs of both the city and the
wider governorate.
Ownership of both sites has been transferred to the Ministry
of Finance under presidential decrees registered with the Real Estate
Registration Authority. Each site will be ready for handover once the
competitive allocation procedures are completed. Information about both sites
is available to the business community through the official websites of the
Ministry of Finance, the Egypt Investment Portal, the Egypt Investment Map, and
the New Urban Communities Authority.
