Following successful negotiations
between the agricultural quarantine authorities of both countries, Dr. Mohamed
El-Mansy, Head of the Egyptian Agricultural Quarantine, confirmed the positive
outcome. The Agricultural Export Council and relevant exporters have been
notified, and the first shipment of Egyptian onions to Costa Rica is now ready
for inspection.
This development marks a significant milestone in Egypt's agricultural trade relations with Costa Rica. Egypt already exports grapes, citrus fruits, strawberries, medicinal plants, and certain vegetables to it.
