The decree stipulates that the university cannot begin operations until it has met all human and physical requirements and has demonstrated its readiness to conduct educational and scientific research activities. It must also implement cooperation agreements with reputable international universities.
The new university aims to contribute to raising the
standard of education and scientific research, provide specializations that
meet community needs, and prepare specialized cadres, technicians, and experts
in various fields. It will also offer advanced research services.
Reval Sohag University will include faculties of human
medicine, physical therapy, dentistry, pharmacy, biotechnology, media,
engineering, and computers and artificial intelligence. The start of studies in
the Faculty of Human Medicine is contingent on the establishment and operation
of a university hospital, subject to the approval of the Council of Private
Universities.
The decree also permits the university to establish additional faculties, specialized higher institutes, and research units in the future after fulfilling all legal procedures. It emphasizes the university's commitment to paying its financial dues to the New Sohag City Authority and completing all other necessary requirements.
