The meeting was attended by Egypt's Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty and Finance Minister Ahmed Kouchouk.
Madbouly welcomed the Qatari Prime Minister and his
delegation, emphasizing the significant qualitative leap in bilateral relations
across political, economic, and investment sectors. He stressed the importance
of building on the momentum from President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi's visit to
Qatar last April, which highlighted Qatar's interest in bolstering its economic
partnership with Egypt.
Madbouly also underscored Egypt's commitment to engaging
with the Qatari business community to boost confidence in available investment
opportunities. He reaffirmed the Egyptian government's support for Qatari
investments in the country and its efforts to streamline necessary procedures.
For his part, the Qatari Prime minister expressed his
pleasure with the warm reception. He affirmed the Qatari leadership's
commitment to strengthening and expanding bilateral cooperation, particularly
in joint investment projects, to meet the aspirations of both nations.
The two officials emphasized the importance of convening the
Egyptian-Qatari Joint Higher Committee to serve the shared interests of both
countries and pave the way for a new, more comprehensive phase of political,
economic, and commercial cooperation.
On the political front, the two nations underscored the critical importance of their ongoing efforts, in coordination with the United States, to achieve an immediate ceasefire in the Gaza Strip. The officials emphasized the need to facilitate the delivery of humanitarian aid to Gaza's population and reiterated their complete rejection of any attempts to displace Palestinians from their land.
