Gold prices in Egypt record EGP 4,535 for 21-karat

Gold prices in Egypt held steady during Wednesday’s trading, August 20, 2025, with 21 karat, the most widely traded in the local market, recording EGP 4,535, while 24 karat stood at EGP 5,183.

The gold pound registered EGP 36,280 amid calm global market activity as the metal traded at USD 3,338 per ounce. Investors are awaiting the outcome of the Jackson Hole symposium and upcoming statements from the US Federal Reserve on interest rates.
