El-Sherbiny highlighted the significant importance of Aswan
and Upper Egypt in general, especially regarding the Decent Life projects. The
meeting aimed to follow up on the progress of all projects across the
governorate.
He emphasized the importance of relying on local products,
stating that efforts are focused on localizing various industries required for
the projects, in implementation of the directives of the political leadership.
The Minister stressed the importance of adhering to project deadlines and
overcoming any obstacles with innovative solutions.
The meeting reviewed the implementation status of the
projects under the Decent Life initiative in Aswan, including detailed reports
on the progress of projects carried out by the Holding Company for Drinking
Water and Wastewater. It also covered the execution status of projects
implemented by the National Wastewater Authority in 87 villages across Aswan,
along with drinking water and wastewater projects in rural areas. The review
included the progress of slope networks, pumping stations, and discharge lines
related to wastewater projects, as well as the status of wastewater treatment
plants.
El-Sherbiny directed daily follow-up on all projects and the
preparation of a weekly report to be personally presented to him, containing
comprehensive details on the execution status of all project components.
