The meeting was attended by Dr. Ahmed Ghoneim, CEO of the
Grand Egyptian Museum Authority; Ambassador Yasser Shaaban, Assistant Foreign
Minister for Cultural Relations; Mohamed Al-Saadi, Board Member of United Media
Services and General Supervisor of the event; along with senior officials.
Madbouly emphasized the need for close follow-up to ensure
full coordination among all state bodies after the new date was announced,
aiming to present the ceremony in a manner that reflects the museum’s cultural
importance and national value.
Ambassador Shaaban reported on invitations sent to world
leaders for this landmark occasion, noting that Egypt’s ambassadors abroad are
following up to secure the widest possible high-level attendance.
The meeting also reviewed the list of distinguished public
figures invited to the ceremony.
Al-Saadi presented key aspects of the event’s preparations, including arrangements for the main program and related activities. He highlighted strong interest from leading international media outlets, with the opening expected to capture global attention given the museum’s significance as a heritage landmark of worldwide importance.
