The meeting was attended by Finance Minister Ahmed Kouchouk, Suez Canal Authority Chairman Osama Rabie, General Authority for the Suez Canal Economic Zone Chairman Walid Gamal El-Din, Central Auditing Organization head Mohamed El-Feisal, and Hussein Issa, advisor to the Minister of Planning and Economic Development for the restructuring of economic bodies, as well as a number of officials from relevant authorities.
Madbouly emphasized the government's commitment to
continuing its efforts to restructure economic bodies by taking concrete steps.
He added that the restructuring is part of the government's broader economic
reform efforts and institutional development.
During the meeting, Issa reviewed the work of the technical
secretariat for the restructuring of economic bodies and its cooperation with a
number of authorities to implement restructuring plans.
Mohamed El-Homossany, the official spokesperson for the
Cabinet, said the meeting included a discussion of various ideas regarding
available options for restructuring several economic bodies.
At the end of the meeting, Madbouly directed officials to communicate with the economic bodies slated for restructuring in the coming period to begin implementing the measures.
