Discussions covered the key components and goals of the
project, which features bicycle lanes, as well as recreational, social, and
commercial facilities. The initiative aims to maximize the use of available
land, beautify public spaces, and enhance the overall urban landscape in new
cities.
Engineer Marwa Hussein, Head of the Sheikh Zayed City
Authority, noted that the promenade includes shopping malls, restaurants, green
spaces, and public seating areas. Several malls have already been handed over
to private operators and have commenced operations. She also highlighted
ongoing campaigns to remove illegal structures and prevent encroachments.
The Minister reiterated that encroachments on public roads
would not be tolerated, as they obstruct traffic and hinder pedestrian
movement. He emphasized the importance of continuing daily efforts to eliminate
any violations.
