During the meeting, Shimi underscored the pivotal role of the construction sector in supporting comprehensive urban development. He emphasized the critical importance of adhering to timelines and ensuring quality execution in projects undertaken by the affiliated companies. The minister also urged intensified efforts to maximize the utilization and returns from state-owned real estate assets, foster partnerships with the private sector, and pursue new projects with clear economic viability.
The meeting featured a review of the affiliated companies'
contributions to national and developmental projects across several
governorates. These include infrastructure and utility projects under the
presidential "Decent Life" initiative, encompassing the construction
of wastewater treatment and drinking water purification plants, bridges, and
schools.
Further discussions covered residential projects in the New
Administrative Capital, electricity works in various regions including New
Delta, North Coast, Red Sea, Beni Suef, Giza, and Qena, and coastal protection
projects in Alexandria and Marsa Matrouh. The meeting was attended by Major
General Mohamed Mostafa, the Executive Managing Director of the Holding Company
for Construction and Development, and several ministry leaders.
The agenda also included the economic exploitation of
various real estate assets and investment opportunities for private sector
partnerships. Updates on New Heliopolis City were presented, highlighting improvements
in infrastructure, services, green spaces, pedestrian walkways, and the
development of internal roads and gates, along with plans for an
administrative, commercial, and residential compound.
Discussions included the renovation and reopening of the
historic Granada Palace in Heliopolis as an arts and cultural center,
highlighting it as a successful model for heritage preservation and asset
investment. The new corporate identity of Heliopolis Company for Housing and
Development was also reviewed, signaling a strategic shift towards
institutional development, improved marketing, and enhanced customer trust.
The meeting provided an overview of several real estate
projects, including Areba (North Coast), Raqiya (Ibrahimia), Grand View Smouha
2, Maadi View Shorouk, Maadi Valley, Sea Belle (New Mansoura), and a planned
integrated urban community in Capital Gardens.
The meeting addressed ongoing overseas projects, new
contracts, and the contributions of contracting companies affiliated with the
Holding Company for Construction to other Public Business Sector Ministry
projects. These include the national spinning and weaving industry development,
Nasr Automotive Company, several pharmaceutical companies, and the Jaz Asilah
Resort in Marsa Alam.
Minister Shimi stressed the importance of expanding
integrated real estate projects, enhancing marketing and investment
opportunities, and leveraging the prime locations of assets to deliver
competitive and attractive projects. He also directed an increase in foreign
expansion and business volume in regional and international markets,
capitalizing on the accumulated expertise and technical capabilities of the
affiliated companies to diversify income, boost returns, and elevate regional
competitiveness.
He also emphasized the need for continuous improvement in
customer service and service quality across all projects and facilities,
stating that customer satisfaction is a key indicator of success. He noted the improved
financial performance and increased sales in urban projects, directing
sustained performance development, maximum operational efficiency, and diligent
maintenance of contracting companies' equipment.
The Minister commended the integration achieved among the sister companies of the Holding Company for Construction and Development and the fruitful cooperation with other ministry companies. He asserted that this integration is fundamental to realizing the desired outcomes from state investments, accelerating progress, and driving comprehensive development.
