The unified electricity grid successfully handled the
elevated power loads and rising consumption amid soaring temperatures over the
past few days, as the daily increases in demand and load levels are considered
unprecedented for this time of year.
The Ministry of Electricity and Renewable Energy continued
to raise the state of readiness across all sectors of the electricity system,
including generation, transmission, and distribution, by intensifying the
deployment of support, monitoring, and maintenance teams, as well as
occupational health and safety units and inspection committees, to ensure the
stability and security of the grid and the continuity of power supply.
The Ministry extended working hours at citizen service
centers and reinforced the complaints and reporting system with follow-up
teams, to ensure rapid response, track resolution times, and maintain direct
communication with subscribers. These measures form part of a broader plan to
improve service quality and uphold performance standards.
