Kouchouk rings opening bell at London stock exchange

Egypt’s Minister of Finance Ahmed Kouchouk rang the opening bell at the London Stock Exchange, officially launching Egypt Day on behalf of the government. Markets never sleep… and neither do finance ministers, he remarked.

Kouchouk emphasized that Egypt, through this symbolic event at the prestigious London Stock Exchange, reaffirms its commitment to a path of trust, partnership, and certainty with both local and international investors. He underscored the government's dedication to direct communication and meaningful dialogue with the global business community to explore new investment opportunities in Egypt.

He added that the country’s investment climate is steadily improving, with the private sector now taking the lead in driving economic activity. The Egyptian economy, he noted, achieved remarkable results last year, including a substantial primary surplus and strong growth and export performance.

Addressing international investors, Kouchouk concluded by highlighting the promising prospects for building international partnerships that would further stimulate the Egyptian economy.
