The Minister of Housing toured the green housing project site and reviewed the status of the facilities. Engineer Alaa Abdallah, Chairman of the 10th of Ramadan City Development Authority, indicated that the project is one of the distinguished residential projects located in the regional services area, comprising 1,842 housing units (in the fifth phase) with environmentally friendly specifications that embrace sustainability concepts. The project aims to provide high-quality housing units while preserving the environment by adopting sustainable construction techniques and energy- and water-saving systems. The project includes green and open spaces that enhance the quality of life. The project is part of sustainable urban development plans and contributes to meeting the growing demand for housing units while adhering to environmental sustainability standards.
He directed the completion of all ongoing work on the project and the maximization of the use of land at the project site to establish service projects for residents.
He inspected the development and rehabilitation work on the industrial drainage network in the A1 Industrial Zone, which aims to increase its efficiency and improve its performance. This work includes infrastructure, upgrading and expanding internal road networks to facilitate transportation, and developing water and drainage networks. He directed attention to the roads surrounding the area. The Minister monitored the progress of the work and its implementation stages, directing the rapid completion of road works and ensuring that traffic is not impeded.
El-Sherbiny monitored the ongoing work on the second phase of Drinking Water Purification Plant No. 3, with a capacity of 600,000 m3/day. A portion of the plant is nearing completion and undergoing trial operation with a capacity of 150,000 m3/day (samples are being taken with the relevant authorities at the Ministry of Health). The project aims to supply Badr City and the Capital Gardens and increase the amount of water pumped. The completion of the plant will help increase the amount of drinking water in cities east of Cairo and provide water for national projects.
