This is a precautionary measure to maintain the stability of the natural gas network and prevent the need to reduce the electricity grid load, pending the resumption of natural gas supply from the east.
It is worth noting that the three Three Floating Storage and Regasification Units (FSRUs)have arrived in Egypt. One vessel is currently refueling and pumping gas into the national natural gas grid, while the other two vessels are being equipped and connected to ports to begin pumping natural gas.
The natural gas network operations room continues to monitor the situation 24 hours a day, ensuring the safety of the gas network and the refueling reserve.
The Minister of Electricity and Renewable Energy, along with the Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, visited the National Gas Control Center to review the latest developments in the implementation of the emergency plan.
The Minister of Petroleum also visited Sokhna Port to expedite the connection of the third FSRU to the national natural gas grid.
The Prime Minister also held a meeting with the Ministers of Electricity and Petroleum to review the latest developments and follow up on the implementation of the emergency plan.
