The ISO 21001 certificate, issued by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), recognizes institutions that provide exceptional educational and training services. This certification signifies that the academy meets the requirements and expectations of learners, contributes to sustainable community development, and adheres to efficient planning, execution, and continuous improvement in its training processes.
ISO is the globally recognized authority for setting quality
assessment standards for institutions. For GAFI, this means their training
programs and the certificates they award are globally recognized. This
significantly strengthens GAFI's efforts to enhance the investment environment
both locally and regionally.
Following the certification handover, the General Authority
for Free Zones and Investment (GAFI) and the National Council for Training and
Education signed a cooperation protocol. This agreement aims to develop the
capabilities of GAFI employees and stakeholders, including investors and their
agents, to ensure continuous improvement of the investment environment.
Hossam Heiba, GAFI's CEO, emphasized that human capital is a
nation's most valuable asset. He stated that GAFI views every investment
opportunity as a chance to train individuals on how to leverage and manage it
effectively, ensuring its sustainability. Heiba proposed that the National
Council for Training and Education, in cooperation with GAFI, assist in qualifying
and training investors to achieve local and global environmental targets and
reduce their organizations' carbon footprint. He underscored the importance of
this initiative for both Egypt's economy and environment.
Dr. Safwat El Nahass affirmed that the ISO 21001 certification will elevate GAFI's training center to international standing. He emphasized that training is vital for employees, ensuring their efficient performance in governmental tasks and ultimately serving the public good. He also reaffirmed the ongoing cooperation and partnership between GAFI and the National Council for Training, stating this collaboration will extend to GAFI's stakeholders and the broader investment environment.
