New Urban Communities Authority digitalizes public services for citizens

The New Urban Communities Authority (NUCA) has updated its online platform for citizen services in the new cities. This update allows all citizens to access services online, thereby eliminating the requirement to visit citizen service centers in the new city agencies. NUCA has integrated the public shop licensing service, in addition to numerous other existing services, bringing the current total to 36 services available on the platform.

It was highlighted that work is ongoing to integrate all services currently provided at citizen service centers in the new city agencies onto this platform, with the objective of streamlining processes for citizens. The Authority further confirmed that electronic payment for all digitally provided service fees is available, facilitated through either Fawry or Visa card systems. Access to these services is provided via the platform's link.

NUCA explained that the platform now offers a wide range of services, totaling 36, including:

Request to receive a plot of land,

Request to receive a unit,

Request for an initial contract,

Request for a final contract,

Request for approval of a handover report for an industrial unit,

Request for approval of a residential lease contract,

Request for approval of a service lease contract,

Request for approval of an industrial lease contract,

Request for a certified copy of a residential/service document,

Request for a copy of the handover report,

Request to receive allocation notification,

Request for Land Registry letters,

Request for approval to increase building area on the roof,

Request for a building permit to increase building area on the roof,

Request for a building permit construction,

Request for a building permit amendment,

Request for a cemetery building permit,

Request for building permit renewal,

Request for a site validity statement,

Request to determine executive status (residential/industrial),

Request for an inspection,

Request for permanent/construction/temporary electricity meter connection,

Request for permanent water meter connection,

Request for temporary water meter connection,

Request for construction electricity meter renewal,

Request to change subscriber name (electricity meter) for a plot of land,

Request to change subscriber name (electricity meter) for a residential unit,

Request for water meter ownership transfer (land/residential units),
