Prime Minister Dr. Moustafa Madbouly held a meeting today, Thursday, to follow up on the progress of the Ras El-Hikma City development project on the northwest coast of Matrouh Governorate.

The meeting was attended by Lieutenant General Kamel Al-Wazir, Deputy Prime Minister for Industrial Development and Minister of Industry and Transport; Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities; Major General Khaled Shoeib, Governor of Matrouh; Dr. Islam Ragab, Deputy Governor of Matrouh; Major General Nasser Fawzy, Director of the National Center for State Land Use; Engineer Howayda El-Nubi, Head of the Egyptian General Survey Authority; Reda Gaballah, Head of Marsa Matrouh City and Center; Engineer Walid Haggag, Head of the Ras El-Hikma Authority; and a number of officials from relevant authorities.

Dr. Madbouly began the meeting by emphasizing the great importance the state attaches to the Ras El Hekma City development project, which will significantly contribute to attracting more foreign investment, maximizing the region's tourism potential, providing numerous job opportunities, and adding value to the national economy. Therefore, the government is working to implement this project, by intensifying the efforts of various relevant agencies and authorities, to leverage it to develop the Northwest Coast region and create a boom that will contribute to achieving the state's development goals in this region.

He highlighted the importance of following up on the Ras El Hekma project and the need to coordinate with the UAE regarding it, to ensure the land is delivered and the project is implemented in all its phases, according to the specified timelines.

The Prime Minister stressed the need to follow up on the payment of necessary compensation to eligible citizens, in addition to providing alternative land for them in Shams El Hekma City. He reviewed the progress of work to provide various services to citizens in Shams El Hekma City.

Al-Wazir discussed the coordination efforts over the past period with the UAE regarding the delivery of the first phase of the Ras El-Hikma project. He highlighted the scope and pace of implementation, as well as the status and progress of Ras El-Hikma Company's work on the ground. He confirmed that all procedures related to the payment of compensation to citizens are being followed up, as well as the status of their housing in the Shams El-Hikma area, with the provision of all basic services to facilitate their transition.

El-Sherbiny discussed the Ministry of Housing's efforts to provide basic services, including infrastructure, to citizens in Shams El-Hikma City, noting the progress of work, particularly with regard to the construction of roads, a school, and all infrastructure.

For his part, Shoeib reviewed the ongoing development process in several areas of the governorate, as well as the status of services provided to the Shams El-Hikma area, as well as the lands being allocated for the construction of necessary service projects.

Ragab discussed the implementation status of services provided to the Shams El-Hikma area, as well as the governorate's needs to implement several projects in the area.

Major General Nasser Fawzy also reviewed the status of lands being allocated for various projects in the governorate.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the Prime Minister directed that the governorate's needs be met from all possible resources to enable the implementation of service projects.
