El-Sherbiny expressed his appreciation for the warm welcome and his pleasure in attending the exhibition and conference. He viewed it as a valuable opportunity to exchange expertise and enhance collaboration in the real estate sector for both Egypt and Oman. He also emphasized Egypt's eagerness to share its urban development experience and strengthen its close ties with Oman.
During the events, the Minister of Housing also examined
several project models in Oman, including one by Talaat Moustafa Group in
Sultan Haitham City. This signifies new real estate cooperation between the two
countries, expanding on previous collaboration with Al Ahly Sabbour.
He affirmed full support for Egyptian companies specializing
in infrastructure projects and private real estate developers at the Omani Real
Estate Conference and Exhibition. He highlighted the Ministry of Housing's
dedication to creating investment opportunities and expressed his satisfaction
with the participation of Egyptian developers and investors in Oman's urban
renaissance, viewing them as key partners in the Omani real estate market.
Minister El-Sherbiny commended the excellent organization of
the conference and exhibition, recognizing it as a specialized platform to
showcase new investment opportunities, highlight urban development projects,
and review smart city initiatives and international partnerships.
The Minister of Housing toured the Oman Real Estate
Exhibition pavilions, inspecting those of participating Egyptian, Omani, and
Arab companies. He praised the models of residential units, real estate
projects, and development showcased in the companies' exhibits.
During the events, El-Sherbiny attended the signing of an
agreement between the Omani Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning and Talaat
Moustafa Group. The agreement covers the development of two projects west of Muscat
– one real estate and one tourism-related – with a total investment of 1.5
billion Omani Riyals (approximately $3.9 billion).
The agreement was signed by Dr. Khalfan Al-Shuaibi, the
Omani Minister of Housing and Urban Planning, and Hisham Talaat Moustafa,
Chairman of Talaat Moustafa Group Muscat for Real Estate Development.
It is worth noting that the Oman Real Estate Conference
focused on themes such as strengthening the legislative and regulatory
framework for the real estate sector by developing laws, empowering owners'
associations, and defining the role of governorates to ensure market
transparency, protect rights, and stimulate responsible investment; and
expanding the scope of real estate financing tools and institutional investment
to enable citizens to own housing and encourage local and foreign capital to
engage in long-term economic impact projects.
Further themes of the conference included adopting sustainable city models for healthy living and efficient resource management, enhancing quality of life, meeting environmental commitments, and fostering green investment, activating public-private partnerships (PPP) to accelerate development, reduce the burden on the state, and engage the private sector in urban infrastructure, proposing diverse and flexible housing solutions that meet various societal needs, ensure housing justice, create investment opportunities for developers in an integrated urban environment; and enabling digital transformation and real estate innovation (PropTech) by applying modern technologies in real estate planning, management, and marketing to improve operational efficiency and enhance the residential and economic experience.
