Spanning 27,000 square meters and entirely self-funded, the project is anticipated to generate approximately 2,000 direct employment opportunities. Its production target exceeds 12 million garment pieces annually, with 100% of output earmarked for international export.
Luo Jun, the legal representative and board member of GS
Global Sourcing, signed the agreement in the presence of several SCZONE
leaders.
Gamal El-Din underscored the Qantara West Industrial Zone's
emergence as a prime destination for quality investments, particularly within
the textile and apparel sectors. He emphasized its integrated nature and
leading position in this industry, attributing its success to its inherent
capabilities, proximity to Canal governorates (making it ideal for
labor-intensive ventures), and its strategic geographical location linking
SCZONE's Red Sea and Mediterranean ports.
He further stated that the "GS Global Sourcing"
project reinforces international investors' confidence in the zone and
highlights its capacity to attract companies with global supply chains serving
prominent brands. Following this agreement, total contracted investments in the
Qantara West Industrial Zone have reached $579.5 million across 19 projects,
promising over 27,300 direct jobs. This development significantly bolsters the
Qantara West Industrial Zone's role in supporting SCZONE's industrial integration
strategy and solidifying its standing as an export-focused manufacturing hub.
