Participating in the meeting were Major General Walid Abul-Magd, Deputy Minister of Supply; Dr. Alaa Nagi, CEO of the Holding Company for Food Industries; Ahmed Kamal, Assistant Minister for Project Affairs and Official Spokesperson for the Ministry; Major General Ihab Abdel Rahman, Chairman of the Nile Consumer Complexes Company; Major General Ashraf Ezzat, Chairman of the Alexandria Consumer Complexes Company; Accountant Youssef Ali Hussein, Executive Managing Director of the Nile Consumer Complexes Company; and Major General Essam Zahran, Executive Managing Director of the Alexandria Consumer Complexes Company.
Dr. Farouk reviewed the availability of basic and strategic commodities
within the consumer complexes and their availability period. He was briefed on
the two companies' plans to develop their branches in terms of infrastructure,
display and storage systems, and improving the quality of service provided to
citizens.
He emphasized the important role played by consumer complexes in supporting the social protection system, emphasizing the need to adhere to quality controls and increase the supply of goods at fair prices. He also directed the rapid completion of the development of the targeted branches within the established plans, and increased coordination between holding and subsidiary companies to ensure market stability and meet citizens' needs.
The attendees affirmed their full commitment to the Ministry's directives and reviewed current challenges and ongoing development plans, noting the availability of goods in sufficient quantities and the presence of a strategic stockpile to cover needs for several months.
